It’s raining prizes. 2018 has been an extremely successful year for our innovative product ideas. We had the honor to receive five prestigious awards in four months.
German Packaging Prize 2018
The Ayran cup for the dairy cooperative “Bayerische Milchindustrie eG” (BMI) has been awarded the 2018 German Packaging Prize. We impressed the jury with its successful overall concept in the “Design + Refinement” category.
Ayran, a refreshing salty yogurt drink, is traditionally consumed in a type of copper cup. The plastic cup with the hammertone look reconstructs this traditional drinking vessel and makes it stand out on the shelf while at the same time emphasizing the product features through its design.
Turkish Packaging Awards
We received two accolades at the “Crescents and Stars for Packaging Award” in Istanbul. The Perfection Award in the “Food” category was presented to our polypropylene yogurt pot with an offset decoration that we created for African food company Ghandour Foods Congo. We also took home a Bronze award for our convenient solution, a lid with an integrated spoon.
PACKSTAR 2018
Our K3®-H pot came out on top at PACKSTAR, a Czech-Slovak packaging award. The product made an impression thanks to its appeal for children, who enjoy cheerful packaging that’s full of surprises. PACKSTAR is unique on the Czech and Slovak market due to the fact that the winners were selected directly by the respective users. However, the submitted products were first shortlisted by an expert jury, which considered innovation aspects, product protection, requirements of packaging users, environmental considerations, legislation, and, last but not least, marketing, logistics, and economic factors.
Austrian Award for Smart Packaging 2018
The “National Award for Smart Packaging” is presented every two years in Austria. This year, we took home the Special Award for Innovation for our “Frische-Clip” (fresh clip) product.
The plastic fresh clip allows the user to reseal a carton after it has been opened. This keeps cereal, muesli, and similar foods fresh for longer, actively helping to prevent food waste.
We impressed the jury with this idea, and we’re already looking forward to enhancing the fresh clip’s design together with our customers.
WorldStar Packaging Awards
We have been honored with the title of “WorldStar Winner 2019” for our innovative lid solution, that already won the Bronze Award at the “Crescents and Stars for Packaging Award” in Istanbul in October. The WorldStar Packaging Awards Competition is one of the major events of the World Packaging Organisation and is the pre-eminent international award in packaging. The official award ceremony will take place on the 15th of May 2019 in Prague.
