Greiner Packaging S.R.L, having its registered office in 156A Stefan cel Mare Street, City Sibiu, County Sibiu, Tel. +40 269 215810, Fax +40 269 215810, as promoter, is pleased to announce the completion of the project implementation.
The project “Development and improvement of environmentally friendly packaging products through new greener technology”, was implemented between February 1, 2020 - April 30, 2022, co-financed within the SMEs Growth Romania program, according to the Financing Agreement 2020/538614, concluded with Innovation Norway as program operator.
The general objective of the project is to increase the competitiveness of the company and to reduce the environmental impact of our products, and as well implementing new types of packaging and improving the quality of all products by innovating and greener technologies, but also building a sustainable life cycle assessment.
The outcomes after the implementation of the project are:
- development of an improved recipe for rectangular boxes, to create a new “greener” product (plastic cups decorated with cardboard segment) in collaboration with SINTEF Materials and Chemicals Norway;
- implementation of a new inline line production, which will allow us to reduce the energy consumption, reduce the consumption of raw materials and use recycled materials, also to improve our competitiveness;
- development of a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) tool together with our partner International Development Norway;
- development of a Sustainable Strategy and Branding for Greiner Packaging;
