Cans

Greiner Packaging primarily uses cans as a packaging solution for dried or ground herbs and spices or for dietary supplements. The size of the cans ranges from 100 to 2,000 milliliters with diameters between 40 and 143 millimeters. Liquid filling can also be used for cans with smaller diameters. Snap-on necks are primarily used in the smaller diameter area, while we use twist-on necks for larger diameters. The cans are mainly produced from PET.

From the perspective of sustainability, r-PET plays a key role for us. We’re also using translucent coloring for the material to increase UV protection for food. The option to reseal cans is particularly important, and sprinkling and dosing solutions in lids are also seeing continually increasing demand with larger cans, particularly in the catering sector.
